FloQast is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own architectural integrity and long-term scalability across domains. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, design AI-friendly APIs, and mentor teammates while delivering high-impact features with autonomy.

You will work in a hybrid setup with on-site days in California or remote candidates in PST, contributing to a fast-paced engineering culture focused on performance and efficiency.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and scripting.
• Experience with MERN-style stacks or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with testing and code quality.

Aufgaben

• Own end-to-end development of medium-to-large features and systems for long-term scalability.
• Design and document system interactions for maintainability.
• Drive technical direction and reduce systemic issues.
• Improve performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency within owned domains.
• Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of complex systems and cross-functional initiatives.
• Partner with Product Managers to align timelines and priorities.
• Meet quarterly velocity and quality goals and maintain deployment standards.
• Design AI-friendly APIs and agentic workflows for accounting/finance domains.
• Mentor 1–2 engineers regularly and guide peers across the team.
• Act as a go-to engineer in your subdomain and unblock peers.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
