Job summary

Radiance Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced software architect to lead architectural definitions and guide implementation with cross-functional teams in Dayton, OH or Huntsville, AL.

The role focuses on shaping system architectures, security, and modernization while aligning with enterprise directions. You will collaborate with product owners and engineers to translate customer needs into architecture requirements, mentor staff, and drive best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience as a software architect and/or software engineer.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages including Go, Java, C++, or Python.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Defines, creates and updates software system architectures and guides its implementation with software engineers.
• Analyze architecture data to solve complex problems and improve products and processes.
• Identify system architectures to streamline development and operations.
• Document functional and detailed design architectures.
• Ensure the system is secure, resilient, observable, and evolvable.
• Drive long-term modernization and technology direction.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to translate customer requirements into system requirements.
• Lead architecture definition and concepts within a system.
• Mentor engineers on system and solution architectures.
• Apply industry best practices in modern software delivery.
