Lyric is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to shape the technical direction of our flagship initiatives. You will lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance systems, guide engineers, and drive architectural decisions across cross-functional teams.

You will mentor teams, promote coding standards, and stay ahead of industry trends to deliver impactful, auditable solutions in real-time claims workflows. This role is remote for US-based candidates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with leading design and development of complex systems.
• Experience with microservice architectures on modern stacks; strong backend focus.

Responsabilités

• Leads end-to-end design and development of software solutions including back-end and integrations.
• Collaborates with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliverables.
• Provides technical leadership and mentoring to a team of engineers.
• Drives architectural decisions and ensures coding standards and quality.
• Develops and maintains reusable components and frameworks to accelerate delivery.
• Mentors engineers on design, coding practices, and system architecture.
• Stays current with new technologies and evangelizes best practices.
• Conducts code reviews to ensure quality and stability.
• Represents the company at industry events and technical communities.
