Job summary

Altum LLC, a Chicago-based AI-first consulting firm, seeks a Senior Consultant - Software Engineering to lead end-to-end enterprise implementations. This hybrid role requires on-site collaboration at client locations and remote work when feasible, partnering with client product teams and Altum's engineering leadership.

You will oversee architecture, delivery accountability, and strategic advisory across the Microsoft stack and Azure cloud, with emphasis on security, performance, and measurable

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise software engineering experience
• Advanced expertise in the .NET ecosystem and Azure Cloud
• Strong client-facing communication and executive presence
• Demonstrated project leadership and delivery ownership
• Working knowledge of accounting/finance systems or enterprise financial operations
• Experience operating in hybrid/on-site client environments

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead enterprise architecture and engineering efforts for client solutions
• Advise clients and stakeholders; translate business goals into technical delivery roadmaps
• Own delivery timelines, risk mitigation, and scope management in a hybrid setting
• Apply FinOps principles to cloud architecture decisions and ROI-focused design
