Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Lead Software Architect for the Denali Software team in Herndon, VA. You will lead end-to-end software architecture, design, and integration for non-embedded systems and ensure compliance with safety, security, and certification standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years in software development, Java/C++, cloud experience, and active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 10+ years in the Software Development lifecycle.
• 10+ years of experience with Java, C++, Angular/React.js, HTML and CSS.
• 5+ years leading projects in software development lifecycle tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture, design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems (non-embedded).
• Translate requirements into software requirements, models, architectures, interfaces and designs.
• Oversee analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and tech gaps; drive adoption of new technologies.
• Direct integration, enhancement, debugging, and verification to ensure high-performance software.
• Establish and improve software processes, KPIs, and alignment with standards.
• Manage development/documentation of user documentation and support processes.
• Support software project management including planning, execution and compliance.
• Track and evaluate performance of internal and external teams to ensure compliance.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure designs meet customer, operational, performance, safety, and certification objectives.
