Job summary

FloQast is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Close team in a hybrid role based in our San Jose office. You will shape the technical North Star for FloQast Close, architecting the AI Agent Builder, and driving scalable, secure SaaS workflows across global brands.

You’ll mentor senior engineers, define platform-first design, and own the end-to-end lifecycle of automation infrastructure within a resilient, distributed system.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience shipping complex, enterprise-grade software.
• Expert in modern backend stacks—Go, Node.js, MongoDB, AWS.
• Strong product intuition with a focus on business impact.
• Comfortable turning rough ideas into production-ready solutions through influence and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Architect core platform capabilities powering FloQast Transform and AI-driven workflows.
• Lead high-level design discussions and establish rigorous engineering standards across the automation ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate business goals into actionable technical roadmaps.
