Qualifications

10+ years of experience in software development.
Expert proficiency in C++, Java, or Python.
Experience applying software design patterns to new and legacy codebases.
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for Software Architects and Engineers to enhance knowledge and practices in software architecture and design.
Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to help programs adopt modern software architecture and design methodologies.
Identify gaps in software architecture/design docs and lead efforts to fill them, establishing organizational standards.
Lead training for contributors and leaders to enable understanding and adoption of standards and best practices.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align software architecture with system-level requirements and considerations.
Advocate for software architecture and design excellence and cultivate a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Lead R&D on Open Architectures, GRAs, software reuse, and modularity; establish metrics to assess adoption.
