About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Software Architect who combines visionary architectural leadership with hands-on engineering expertise to shape the future of our technology platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems while actively contributing to codebases, prototypes, and implementation efforts.

Under the direction of the Chief Software Architect and as a key member of our technology leadership team, you will define architecture standards, guide solution design, and lead by example through direct technical contributions. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to align technical strategies with organizational goals—balancing short-term delivery with long-term sustainability.

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of software engineering principles, broad knowledge of modern technology stacks, and the ability to move fluidly between big-picture strategy and hands-on implementation. Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Architecture Leadership – Establish and govern enterprise-wide architectural frameworks, ensuring scalability, flexibility, extensibility, security, and maintainability across all solutions.
  • Solution Design and Implementation – Lead the development of reusable frameworks, libraries, and platforms that accelerate secure enterprise application delivery by writing code and building proof-of-concepts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and business teams to align technical strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Strategic Technology Planning – Evaluate emerging technologies and provide data-driven recommendations to support investment decisions and long-term innovation.
  • Software Development Optimization – Define and promote architectural patterns and best practices to ensure high-quality software development and system integration.
  • Mentorship and Technical Guidance – Coach and mentor teams, conduct code reviews, and guide junior engineers on solution architecture principles and foster a culture of technical excellence.
  • AI and Emerging Technology Integration – Research and assess AI-driven solutions, ensuring scalable implementation within enterprise platforms.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement – Articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, ensuring seamless collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.

TELEWORK OPPORTUNITIES

This position is eligible for telework following an initial training period.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the time of application:

  • OPTION I: 9+ years of experience in solution architecture, strategic planning, and technology governance.
  • OPTION II: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems or related field -AND- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, strategic planning, and technology governance.
  • OPTION III: Any combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications.

Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.

Desirable Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following desirable qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise – Strong background in software architecture and software development patterns, with broad expertise in technology architecture, including cybersecurity, software engineering, database design/management, networking, system administration, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Solution Architecture Mastery – Extensive experience in solution architecture, strategic planning, and technology governance, with the ability to establish architectural patterns and standards for scalable and secure enterprise solutions.
  • Leadership & Collaboration – Proven ability to provide guidance, roadmaps, and best practices to technical teams while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment.
  • Innovation & Strategic Adaptability – Expertise in evaluating emerging technologies and making data-driven recommendations to balance immediate operational demands with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Coaching & Mentorship – Strong ability to coach and mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and translate abstract concepts into practical solutions.
  • Research & Development Excellence – Skilled in analyzing emerging technologies and integrating AI models into software systems while ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Effective Communication – Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure seamless system integration across enterprise solutions.
  • Technology Stack Expertise – Deep technical proficiency in Angular, .NET, and SQL Server, ensuring hands-on contributions to enterprise architecture initiatives.

What To Expect Next

Qualifying evaluation of experience based upon submitted application materials and supplemental questionnaire. Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be placed on an eligible list which will remain valid for up to six (6) months and may be invited to participate in an oral interview.
