Job summary

Firebird AST is seeking an onsite Top Secret/SCI cleared Exercise Planner in Hawaii to support SOCPAC exercise planning and execution. The role involves coordinating Joint Chiefs of Staff and service exercises, developing training objectives, and ensuring alignment with JMETL requirements.

Travel to CONUS/OCONUS may be required, with a salary range of $125k–$135k plus benefits. The candidate should have eight years of DoD exercise planning experience, a bachelor’s degree, and active clearance,

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, reports, policy documents, etc.
• Ability to prepare reports and presentations to management and customers.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, strategic thinker, mission-focused.
• Ability to identify and solve problems.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute SOCPAC and component participation in USPACOM JCS and Service exercises.
• Coordinate and manage exercise development with USPACOM and participants; develop training objectives.
• Ensure exercises inform the Defense Readiness Reporting System and join Joint Lessons Learned processes.
• Develop training objectives with participants and SOCPAC staff stakeholders.
• Assist coordination with DoD and non-DoD supporters.
• Draft and develop realistic threat scenarios and incorporate DoD inputs.
• Coordinate exercise criteria to test training objectives.
• Prepare After Action Reports (AAR) related to training objectives and COA development.
