Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Monroe, LA invites applications for a Senior Social Worker (GS-0185) position.

This role requires licensure and a CSWE-accredited master’s degree, with experience in integrated care, care coordination, and crisis intervention. You will collaborate with BHIP teams, conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate services across care settings to support Veterans and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's level.

Responsibilities

• Provide care coordination and case management for Veterans and families.
• Collaborate with BHIP team to ensure veteran needs are met and support clinical care.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop measurable treatment plans.
• Discharge planning and referral to community resources as needed.
