Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs requires a licensed or certified senior social worker (GS-0185) with at least two years of post-licensure experience and a CSWE-accredited Master’s degree in social work.

Applicants should be able to supervise licensure and possess advanced practice skills in designated areas. Additionally, this role participates in the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), with eligibility and award specifics determined by the VA Education Loan Repayment Services office

Qualifications

• Senior social workers must be licensed or certified by a state at advanced practice level and able to provide supervision for licensure.
• Two years of experience post-advanced licensure; one year at GS-11 level.
• Master's degree in social work from CSWE-accredited program; doctoral degree not a substitute.
