Job summary

Carteret County Government’s Department of Social Services in Beaufort, NC seeks a Social Work Supervisor III to lead the Permanency Planning team, supervise social workers, and ensure programs run in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

The role requires a degree in social work or human services with at least 3 years of social work experience, plus strong supervisory and reporting abilities. This is a full-time position with benefits and the duty station in Beaufort.

Qualifications

• Graduation in human services or social work with at least 3 years of experience.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Experience supervising staff and managing social service programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct social work staff and programs.
• Monitor staff through case reviews, reports, and discussions to ensure compliance with laws and standards.
• Address participant issues received by various channels and assign cases to social workers.
• Maintain and review records, prepare reports, and oversee program objectives.
