Job summary

Gaston Social Services is seeking a capable administrator to supervise a foster care unit, overseeing five Social Worker IIIs and guiding staff through complex cases to achieve timely permanency for children. You will review court documents, assign cases, and manage scheduling in collaboration with leadership.

Qualifications include an MSW with experience or a related master's in human services, plus a relevant bachelor's degree and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree In Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution and 1 year of directly related experience.
• Master's degree in human services field (such as counseling, psychology, related discipline) and 2 years of directly related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited institution and 2 years of directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of 5 Social Worker IIIs in a foster care unit dedicated to finding timely permanency for children.
• Facilitates unit/team staffing on a monthly rotation and staffs cases to ensure guidance for staff.
• Reviews all documentation, including court paperwork, to ensure compliance with law and policy.
• Assign cases per state standards and manage scheduling and leave with supervisors.
• Participates in staff hiring processes and performance evaluations.
• Participates in Children and Family Services Management Team meetings monthly.
• Must be available for emergency shelters and other duties as assigned.
