Job summary

The Gaston Group, LLC is seeking a qualified social services professional in Gastonia, NC to oversee comprehensive adoption services, from pre-placement assessments to post-adoption support. You will coordinate data, conduct background checks, and ensure state paperwork is completed accurately to secure permanent homes for children.

The ideal candidate holds an MSW or related degree with relevant experience, can engage foster and adoptive homes, attend court hearings, and work collaboratively

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and drug screening required prior to employment.
• The position requires a degree in social work or related field with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide Pre-Placement Assessments and complete child profiles for adoption.
• Recruit and retain adoptive homes through training, education and support.
• Secure safe and stable placements by assessing needs of the child and strengths of families.
• Attend court hearings, meetings, and complete case documentation and reports.
• Support additional program requirements and emergency duties as assigned.
• Must be available for mandatory emergency shelters and related duties.

MSW in Social Work
