Job summary

Brunswick County is seeking a Social Work Supervisor III to provide direction and leadership to a team of social workers delivering direct services to families. The role involves case assignment, workflow management, and ongoing supervision across Child Protective Services Investigations/Assessments, In-Home Services, and Permanency Planning/Foster Care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work and two years of directly related experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree in social work and three years of directly related experience; or
• Master’s degree in a human services field and three years of directly related experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and four years of directly related experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of directly related experience; or
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, supervision, and leadership to a team of social workers delivering direct services to families.
• Assign cases, manage workflow, and provide ongoing case supervision and oversight.
• Participate in recruitment and selection of staff; evaluate work performance and service delivery.
• Prepare records, reports, and documentation accurately.
