Job summary

The Uncommon Business in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a growth-focused Content Lead to own the daily content engine end to end. You’ll direct a founder live on camera and run TikTok as your personal domain, building multi-platform strategy rather than endless scheduling.

You’ll own social strategy, cadence, and campaign alignment, create two posts per day on each platform, craft stories, and coordinate with the Senior Videographer to supply assets.

Qualifications

  • You've run multi-platform content for a brand or founder with the native instincts to prove it, especially on TikTok, and you test hooks relentlessly to find what scales.
  • You're a genuinely strong writer who can carry LinkedIn and Twitter/X without a copywriter babysitting you.
  • You're comfortable directing a founder live and pulling the best material out of her in real time.
  • You think in systems and plan backward from launch and campaign dates, so promotion is always ramping ahead of the moment instead of scrambling to catch up.
  • You default to AI-first and are already using it to move faster than a team twice your size.

Responsibilities

  • Social Strategy, Growth Testing & Team Direction: You own the overarching strategy (what we post, when, and why across every platform) and the growth engine behind it: directing trial reels, testing hooks, and tuning post frequency to find what scales.
  • Daily Cadence & Creation: You carry the daily volume yourself: two posts per day on each video platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts), daily stories, and daily written content on LinkedIn and Twitter/X.
  • Launch & Campaign Alignment: You stay tight to every product launch, masterclass, and lead-gen push, and you shift the CTA and content strategy ahead of each one.
  • TikTok End to End: You are the sole owner of TikTok. You own the strategy to grow the platform and run a sub-20-minute weekly sit-down with Callan that becomes five native posts.
  • Content Engine & Event Capture: You turn Callan's newsletters, calls, DMs, and objections into a repeatable content source for top-funnel content.

Job description

This role exists to get Callan in front of more of the right people, every single day, across every platform. It is not a scheduler seat or a \"post the graphics\" job. You own the daily content engine end to end, direct a founder live on camera, and run TikTok as your personal domain. If you need someone to hand you a calendar and tell you what to say, this is not your role.

Full-Time | Minneapolis, MN (or surrounding areas) required | Reports to the Director of Marketing

Minneapolis, MN (or surrounding areas) required

The Uncommon Business is the world's fastest-growing AI-first education company, teaching business leaders to architect intelligent systems, not just prompt tools. We don't do busywork, legacy thinking, or 80-hour founder weeks. We build companies where AI handles the repeatable, humans drive the irreplaceable, and leaders scale without burning out. We're profitable, EOS-driven, and operate in championship-level surge cycles. You'll be promoted on impact and ownership, not tenure. High performers thrive here. Passengers don't last.

You might have:

  • Shipped 2 posts per day per video platform across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, plus daily stories, without a single gap.
  • Ran a 20-minute sit-down with Callan and turned it into five face-to-camera TikToks that carried the week.
  • Shifted the whole content plan and CTA ahead of a masterclass launch, so organic promotion was ramping weeks before doors opened.
  • Captured a live event and turned one day of footage into a week of organic posts across platforms.
  • Pulled a trend from the Brand Room, tested it across a few hook variations, and scaled the one that popped.

We value ownership over task lists. Here's where you'll lead:

  • Social Strategy, Growth Testing & Team Direction. You own the overarching strategy (what we post, when, and why across every platform) and the growth engine behind it: directing trial reels, testing hooks, and tuning post frequency to find what scales. Once a second social hire is on the team, you direct their hook testing, posting cadence, and trial-reel output.
  • Daily Cadence & Creation. You carry the daily volume yourself: two posts per day on each video platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts), daily stories, and daily written content on LinkedIn and Twitter/X. You create for Instagram and YouTube Shorts, write LinkedIn and Twitter/X, and post the documentary content the Senior Videographer & Editor hands you.
  • Launch & Campaign Alignment. You stay tight to every product launch, masterclass, and lead-gen push, and you shift the CTA and content strategy ahead of each one so organic promotion is ramping well before doors open. You work closely with the Director of Marketing to make sure there's enough organic runway in front of every experience, never a scramble after it's live.
  • TikTok End to End. You are the sole owner of TikTok. You own the strategy to grow the platform and run a sub-20-minute weekly sit-down with Callan that becomes roughly five native, face-to-camera posts. No one else touches this platform, and you evolve the organic-forward approach as it grows.
  • Content Engine & Event Capture. You turn Callan's newsletters, calls, DMs, and real objections into a repeatable idea source so the machine never runs dry. You plan the organic output we want from each event and create the top-funnel content that drives ManyChat.
The Traits We're Calling In

We hire humans, not checklists, but success here requires:

What Success Looks Like

You own these key metrics:

  • Cadence Adherence: You hit the full daily posting schedule across all platforms with zero unplanned gaps.
  • Reach Growth: Founder reach and follower growth trend up month over month across the platforms you own.
  • Launch Readiness: Organic promotion is live and ramping ahead of every launch, masterclass, and lead push, coordinated with the Director of Marketing..
  • TikTok Output: Every weekly sit-down converts into the full set of native posts, on time.
  • Event Capture: Each event produces a planned set of organic assets that ship as content across platforms.
Launch Season Expectations

Our launch seasons are intentionally high-intensity and fast-paced to drive transformation for our clients and our team. Twice per year (10-12 weeks total), team members in launch-critical roles are expected to be available from 7 AM to 7 PM, with additional hours often required for preparation, execution, live event support, and post-launch debriefs.

This pace is not for everyone, and that's okay. We set this expectation clearly so that only those who thrive in high-accountability, high-impact environments choose to be here.

In return, you'll be part of a team that moves fast, solves real problems, and builds meaningful outcomes. You'll grow rapidly, work alongside exceptional talent, and contribute to work that truly matters. Outside launch seasons, workload is sustainable and strategic, focused on building the systems that make the next launch even stronger.

Base Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 (based on experience)

Bonus: Periodic bonus available based on company and individual performance, awarded at leadership's discretion.
Structure: Full Time

We Invest in Your Performance, Not Just Perks

  • Health & Wellness: Monthly wellness stipend + access to personalized and group wellness coaching to sustain high performance.
  • Professional Growth: $1,500 - $3,000 annual development budget for courses, conferences, certifications, and tools that sharpen your edge.
  • Work Your Way: Coworking membership allowance OR home office setup budget, you choose what maximizes your focus.
  • Unlimited PTO: Real flexibility with clear boundaries, we operate in championship seasons (launch intensity) and strategic recovery periods (sustainable pace).
  • Full Remote Setup: MacBook, external monitor, desk equipment, we equip you to do your best work.
  • True Downtime: Company-wide closure December 25 - January 1 so you can fully disconnect.

We're not trying to be Google. We're building a championship team that operates at the highest level during launch seasons and recovers like pros in between.

Applications are initially reviewed using AI-assisted screening tools to assess alignment with role requirements. All hiring decisions are made by humans.

The Uncommon Business is an equal opportunity employer. We believe diverse teams build better companies.
