Job summary

COLSA Corporation in California seeks a senior cybersecurity lead to monitor security events and analyze alerts from SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and OT sensors. You will drive incident response, triage incidents, and produce actionable leadership reports.

The position requires 12+ years of cybersecurity experience, a bachelor’s in a related field, and active DoD Secret clearance with Top Secret eligibility. GPEN/OSCP and scripting skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
• Minimum 12+ years in security with 2+ years in SOC/cybersecurity roles.
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (DOD 8140 IAT Level II) is required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR tools to identify threats.
• Perform basic system administration on sensor capability systems (patches/updates when needed).
• Analyze OT sensor data to identify patterns and assist in reports on performance and health.
• Diagnose and resolve sensor data issues (malfunctions, communication, data integrity).
• Investigate security incidents to determine scope, root cause, and remediation.
• Triage security incidents to identify root causes and mitigations.
• Review SIEM reports to detect patterns, trends, and vulnerabilities.
