Job summary

COLSA is seeking a Local Defender - Cybersecurity (SOC Analyst & Threat Analyst) to monitor security events, analyze incidents, and deliver actionable insights on-site for a government customer.

The role requires 12+ years in security with a DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret eligibility preferred), SIEM/OT sensor experience, and strong communication skills for leadership reports and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum 12+ years in related work, incl. 2+ years in SOC/cybersecurity role.
• Active DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance; US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS to identify threats.
• Perform basic system admin functions on sensor capability systems as needed.
• Analyze CVEs, threat intel, and advisories to assess impact to mission.
