Job summary

You will lead complex investigations, coordinate with stakeholders, and guide SOC playbooks, escalation, and risk-informed defenses in a DoD/IC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; four more years may substitute for education.
• Minimum 8 years of directly related cybersecurity experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification required.
• Experience in DoD or Intelligence Community environments is desirable.
• Expert-level hands-on experience in SOC operations, cyber defense, incident response, threat hunting, and adversary analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for SOC watch operations and cyber defense activities.
• Lead complex investigations, incident response, threat hunts, and exposure assessments with technical direction.
• Analyze host and network telemetry, firewall/IDS data, authentication activity, and vulnerabilities.
• Establish and improve SOC procedures, triage standards, escalation criteria, and incident workflows.
• Mentor SOC analysts and lead threat-hunting campaigns based on threat intelligence.
