Job summary

Motion Recruitment are seeking a senior Manager, Security Operations Center in the Langhorne, PA area for a full-time role at a financial institution. The first 90 days are onsite, then hybrid.

You will lead a SOC built around SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms to protect a regulated banking environment with audit and compliance requirements. You will re-establish staffing models, shift schedules, escalation procedures, and operational standards, then build detection, threat

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or related IT security roles.
• 3+ years managing or leading a SOC or security operations team.
• Hands-on experience with a SIEM platform such as Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel, including log source onboarding, alerting, and correlation logic
• Experience with EDR tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon or SentinelOne
• Track record of building SOC processes, runbooks, and incident response playbooks
• Experience setting SOC performance metrics and SLAs (MTTD, MTTR) and reporting them to senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the SOC and establish staffing models, shift schedules, escalation procedures, and operational standards.
• Build detection, threat hunting, and reporting layers on top of SOC processes.
• Present SOC performance and risk to senior IT leadership and influence how the function runs.
