Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a Senior Incident Response Lead to oversee end-to-end cybersecurity incident management in the SOC for the Americas from Boston. You'll serve as incident commander for high-impact events and guide detection and response across multi-cloud and endpoint ecosystems.

This onsite role requires 5+ years in security operations, strong leadership, and expertise with EDR/XDR, SIEM, and cloud security tools, including Defender EDR and Cortex XSIAM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Security Operations, Cyber Defense, Incident Response, or Threat Detection.
• 2+ years in people-management or team-lead roles.
• US Citizenship required.
• Experience across enterprise and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response operations for the SOC across Americas time zones.
• Oversee performance and development of security analysts.
• Act as incident commander for high-impact security events.
• Drive improvements in detection capabilities and SOC processes.
