UltraViolet Cyber, headquartered in McLean, VA, seeks a Senior Security Analyst to join a fast-growing shared services team. You will manage security incidents, monitor threats, and guide containment and recovery with cutting-edge tools.

The role emphasizes proactive analytics, documentation, and collaboration across threat intel, SOAR, and engineering teams. You will work in a 24/7 cyber defense operation, handling detections across cloud and on-prem environments, while mentoring junior

Qualifications

• 4+ years of incident response experience (SOC Tier2 or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of adversary tradecraft (MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain).
• Deep understanding of cloud security concepts.
• Experience with EDRs, SIEMs, SOARs and log pipelines.
• Solid grasp of Windows and Linux security.
• Familiarity with scripting languages for analysis.
• In-depth understanding of network protocols and memory/log analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure during incidents and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a Cyber Defense team on 24/7 rotational shifts.
• Monitor and respond to advanced threats across environments.
• Investigate and triage security alerts to determine root cause and impact.
• Correlate alerts from SIEM, EDR, IPS, Firewall and threat intel sources.
• Handle detections targeting cloud infra/services/applications.
• Provide containment, mitigation, and recovery recommendations.
• Develop and refine detection rules, analytics, and use cases.
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence, SOAR, and Engineering teams.
• Document investigations and recommendations per SOC SOPs.
