Job summary

Sud Recruiting is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a healthcare system in a digital transformation journey toward becoming a data-driven enterprise on Snowflake/AWS.

The role is hands-on and highly strategic, focusing on designing robust data pipelines, ELT/ETL processes, and enterprise-grade data solutions across data science, analytics, and BI teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
• 5+ years hands-on Data Engineer experience (ELT/ETL, data pipelines).
• Snowflake required with deep understanding and performance tuning.
• Advanced SQL required.
• Strong data modeling experience (dimensional modeling, building enterprise data products).

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for the Snowflake EDW on AWS, guiding architecture and performance.
• Collaborate with partners to build enterprise-grade data pipelines enabling analytics and BI.
• Design, implement, and automate ELT processes and dbt workflows.
• Maintain CI/CD workflows for data Engineering solutions with version control.
• Lead the evaluation and integration of new data sources into the EDW.

What Will You Do:

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the Snowflake Enterprise Data Warehouse on AWS, providing strategic and technical guidance across data architecture, modeling, ingestion, transformation, and performance tuning to ensure robust and scalable data solutions
• Collaborate with business partners and build enterprise grade data processing and transformation pipelines that enable teams across Data Science, Analytics, and Business Intelligence to apply machine learning, generate insights, and create interactive dashboards that address critical business challenges
• Design, implement, and automate ELT processes and data pipelines in Snowflake, building transformation workflows with dbt to manage execution, dependencies, and scheduling
• Design and maintain automated CI/CD workflows for data engineering solutions, enabling seamless deployment, proactive monitoring, and robust version control aligned with industry best practices
• Lead the evaluation and integration of new data sources into the EDW, assessing technical feasibility and aligning with business objectives for optimal data delivery
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively recommending innovations to enhance and evolve data capabilities

• This is a hands-on data engineering role that is HIGHLY strategic and delivery based
• Full-time, HEAVILY remote role with minimal travel to HQ
