Job summary

CDW is seeking a Senior Principal Consulting Engineer – Snowflake to architect and deliver scalable Snowflake data solutions, leveraging AI Data Cloud. You will mentor engineers, shape opportunities with pre-sales, and actively lead complex deliverables across Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud platforms.

You will translate capabilities into measurable business outcomes, collaborating with executives and technical teams to drive AI-driven value and platform modernization across Azure/AWS/GCP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of consulting or 14+ years IT/data architecture experience.
• SnowPro Core and one additional advanced certification required.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture incl. storage/compute separation and multi-cluster scaling.
• Advanced SQL; Python preferred for data workflows and automation.
• Experience designing data pipelines with Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and orchestration tools.
• Experience with data modeling, data vault, semantic layers, and ELT practices.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with cloud storage, SaaS, APIs, BI tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Unity Catalog, data governance, RBAC, security, and data lineage.
• Cloud data architecture across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud; modernization and AI/ML enablement.
• Ability to lead architecture decisions, mentor staff, and guide agile delivery; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end Snowflake solutions across ingestion, transformation, modeling, analytics, data sharing, governance, AI, and operations.
• Lead Snowflake-native capabilities such as virtual warehouses, Snowpipe, Streams/Tasks, Cortex AI, and Iceberg Tables.
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver complex enterprise data solutions.
• Partner with pre-sales on SoWs, scope, estimates, timelines, and implementation approach.
• Articulate business value of Snowflake + AI/ML to executives and map capabilities to outcomes.
• Provide billable consulting leadership through architecture, cloud patterns, modernization, and data governance.
• Champion AI/ML as part of delivery; use automation to accelerate delivery and reduce cost.
• Assess customer data ecosystems, cloud readiness, and success metrics to design architectures.
• Mentor peers, shape Snowflake/AI strategy, and contribute to reusable delivery assets.
