Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking a Sr Engineer for Salty R&D to drive end-to-end process development and scale-up for salty/snack platforms at the Hershey Technical Center in Hershey, PA.

You will collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing to deliver new snack technologies from pilot to full production while ensuring product quality and efficiency. This role requires strong engineering expertise in food processing and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• DOE, statistical tools, and data-driven root cause analysis
• Experience with plant trials and troubleshooting manufacturing issues
• Demonstrated ability to scale new products or processes into manufacturing
• Salty Snacks process development experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide process development expertise across salty and baked snack platforms.
• Design and support process validation experiments to optimize throughput and product quality.
• Lead pilot-scale and full-scale trials for new processes and equipment modifications.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering on equipment commissioning and process validation.
• Develop process guides, operating windows, and SOPs.
• Serve as engineering lead on cross-functional innovation teams.
