Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in West Caldwell, NJ is seeking a Sr. Machine Operator to work on our SMT line. This hands-on role requires setting up and operating pick-and-place, stencil printers, and inspection steps, with minimal supervision.

You will troubleshoot, maintain equipment, train new operators, and support lean initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in manufacturing, strong reading of prints, and a safety-first approach in a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5-10 years in related field.
• Ability to read and understand production/engineering prints.
• Autonomy with minimal supervision and safe work practices.
• Knowledge of SMT processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate SMT machines including pick-and-place and stencil printer.
• Make adjustments to optimize performance and ensure quality.
• Train and mentor new Machine Operators.
• Maintain equipment and manage consumables.
• Meet lead times to support customers.
• Follow OSHA safety and Crane policies.
