Job summary

Open Standard seeks a Smart Contract Engineer to develop the on-chain and off-chain infrastructure behind Open USD. You will influence architecture, security, and production readiness across multiple chains, balancing contract logic with reliable off-chain systems.

You will own projects end-to-end, collaborating with founders and external partners to ensure robust protocol integrations and high-security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful blockchain systems experience.
• Strong understanding of Solidity and EVM-based contracts.
• Experience building and operating production smart contracts.
• Experience with indexing blockchain data and off-chain systems.
• Familiar with event-driven architecture, state reconstruction, and security reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and build smart contracts supporting Open USD across blockchains.
• Build infrastructure around minting, burning, transfers, rewards, and protocol functionality.
• Design indexing and event-driven systems to turn on-chain activity into off-chain state.
• Build monitoring and alerting systems for critical protocol events.
• Handle reorgs, duplicate events, and delayed events in production.
• Collaborate across on-chain and off-chain systems, not contracting in isolation.
• Own projects from design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Work with founding team and partners on protocol integrations.
• Contribute to security reviews, testing, and protocol architecture.
