Job summary

UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead swallow and voice services in a state-of-the-art Voice and Swallow Center. The role involves evaluating inpatients and outpatients, performing VFSS/FEES, and contributing to resident and fellow education.

The position requires a Master's in SLP (ASHA‑accredited), a Clinical Fellowship, and 7+ years of post-fellowship experience, with opportunities to develop new programs and participate in research.

Qualifications

• Must have Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Completion of Clinical Speech Language Pathology Fellowship is required.
• 7+ years of clinical experience post-fellowship is required.
• Experience in diagnostics specific to area of specialty required.
• Experience providing therapy in the relevant area and supervising learners required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat inpatient and ambulatory adult swallowing and head and neck cancer patients.
• Perform VFSS, FEES, manometry and clinical swallowing assessments.
• Provide voice restoration services for total laryngectomy patients.
• Develop new programs and outreach opportunities.
• Contribute to learning experiences for residents, students, and fellows.
• Engage in clinical research and continuing education.
