Job summary

Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vermont is seeking a Ski Patrol professional for the 2026/2027 winter season. This full-time, seasonal role focuses on guest safety, incident response, and mountain operations in all weather and terrain.

The position requires advanced skiing ability, OEC certification, and a high school diploma. Housing is available, and the pay range is announced hourly with seasonal benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates effective communication skills and strong guest service abilities.
• Strong decision-making skills are required.
• Proven leadership abilities and the ability to lead a team.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships across departments.
• Must ski at an advanced to expert level and handle toboggan operations safely.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and promote guest safety on varied terrain and conditions.
• Assist injured/ill guests on the mountain.
• Transport injured guests off the mountain using a toboggan or support air lift operations.
• Maintain trails and set up closures, safety materials, and other impacts from the resort environment.
• Transport supplies and heavy equipment to needed areas.
• Perform closing procedures to ensure guests are off the mountain safely.
• Enforce Skier Responsibility Code and Resort Policies.
• Chairlift and guest evacuation; operate snowmobiles as needed.
• Lead and coordinate patrol teams, communicate daily goals, and support safety initiatives.
