Job summary

Actalent seeks a motivated Superintendent to oversee high-profile commercial construction projects from pre-construction through turnover in Fargo, ND. You will lead field operations, safety, scheduling, quality, and subcontractor coordination to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in commercial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and hands-on experience with Lean construction methodologies and Pull Planning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Proven experience leading field operations on commercial construction projects.
• Strong background in project management, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trade partners.
• Ability to develop and manage construction schedules and ensure safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead all pre-construction planning activities: schedules, site logistics, safety plans, and crisis management.
• Manage field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and project partners throughout construction.
• Conduct daily huddles and weekly planning meetings; maintain project momentum.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment logistics, and site operations; adjust schedules to milestones.
• Support subcontractor selection, procurement, and RFI management; ensure quality control plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation, logs, and records; oversee As-Builts.
• Manage labor, materials, and equipment to support budget performance; review costs with the team.
• Lead project closeout: punch lists, commissioning, final inspections, and turnover.
