Job summary

Great States Construction in Fargo, ND, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on multi-family and commercial projects in the Bismarck market. You will work under the Superintendent, assisting with day-to-day site management, safety enforcement, and subcontractor coordination.

This role is designed for individuals aiming to grow into a Superintendent position, gaining hands-on leadership experience on busy job sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of field construction experience.
• OSHA certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily field operations and job site coordination.
• Help manage subcontractors, field crews, and logistics to ensure efficient progress.
• Support safety enforcement on the job site, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Assist in monitoring and documenting quality control throughout the project.
• Maintain daily logs, reports, and project documentation as directed by the Superintendent.
• Participate in project meetings, communicating updates and field needs.
• Help anticipate and resolve field-related issues in coordination with the Superintendent.
• Contribute to punch list completion and project closeout.
