Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
• Current Professional Certification: CSP, ASP, CHST, OSHT, GSP, or similar from BCSP.
• 10+ years of construction safety experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in construction safety.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel to multiple worksite locations in the region.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Ability to plan and organize daily schedules and activities.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI standards in construction.
• Solid understanding of industrial hygiene at construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety observations and inspections at construction sites to ensure compliance.
• Identify and report compliance issues to management and contractors.
• Conduct safety audits of construction projects and report findings.
• Review contractor method statements for alignment with safety requirements.
• Participate in meetings with contractors and subcontractors on safety issues.
• Review investigations of serious incidents to determine causative factors.
• Review safety plans and identify issues for improvement.
• Attend pre-activity meetings and coordination meetings.
• Monitor safety activities to ensure compliance with project plans.
• Maintain safety metrics and report program effectiveness.
• Manage construction safety audit program and reporting.
• Complete daily reports documenting events, findings, and tasks.
