Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure Security to harden hosts and containerized workloads across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will write code and IaC to deploy security controls, build CSPM and threat monitoring, and own security postures in Atlas-scale environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, Infra or Cloud Security Engineering.
• Strong coding skills in Go, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
• Proven experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automated provisioning.
• Experience owning infrastructure in Linux, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Practical exposure to eBPF-based tooling such as Cilium, Falco, or Tetragon.

Responsibilities

• Harden hosts and containerized workloads using Linux security mechanisms and eBPF tooling.
• Secure containerized infrastructure across multi-cloud environments with RBAC, network policies, and runtime controls.
• Build and manage automated CSPM, workload identity, vulnerability management, and access controls.
• Write production-grade code and version security controls with Terraform and IaC practices.
• Monitor, log, and alert in real time to detect anomalies and track security posture at Atlas scale.
• Lead security initiatives from threat modeling through design, rollout and reliability.

We are an engineering team dedicated to building the security infrastructure, primitives, and reusable controls that protect MongoDB Atlas across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud (GCP).InfraSec operates on a preventative, enabling model: rather than acting as a manual approval gatekeeper or compliance auditor, we develop automated guardrails and platform capabilities.
