Job summary

Akraya is seeking an experienced Cloud/Private Cloud Architect to design, build, and maintain scalable private cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on automation, platform resilience, and seamless service deployments for internal users, with a strong emphasis on production-grade Kubernetes and IaC practices.

Expect collaboration across multiple teams to ensure uptime, security, and ongoing platform improvements, including OS image management and deployment framework development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, deploying and operating mid to large-scale enterprise or cloud environments.
• Familiar with private cloud tech including VMware, bare metal, file and block storage, and cloud providers like AWS and GCP.
• Operational experience with Kubernetes at production scale and workload deployment via Helm and ArgoCD.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, Ruby or Scala.
• Expertise with infrastructure/configuration tools such as Ansible or Terraform.

This role involves architecting, constructing, and maintaining a robust private cloud infrastructure designed for high availability and scalability. The primary focus will be on automating operational tasks, enhancing platform resilience, and facilitating smooth service deployments for internal users. You will partner with various teams to guarantee platform stability, security, and ongoing enhancements to deliver reliable compute and storage solutions.

• Expertise with infrastructure/configuration management tools such as Ansible, or Terraform.

Industry Experience

This position requires significant experience in designing, deploying, and operating mid to large-scale enterprise or cloud environments, with familiarity across various private cloud technologies and cloud providers being a plus.
