Job summary

Ladders seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a remote US-based role focused on reliability, scaling, and automation of production systems. You will partner with engineering teams to strengthen infrastructure, improve recovery practices, and raise observability standards across the environment.

The position blends hands-on cloud engineering with architectural ownership, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to support resilient service delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or software development.
• Hands-on experience operating production environments in AWS.
• Proficiency in Go or Python for building automation and tooling.
• Strong experience with Terraform.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms like ECS or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of observability practices including system metrics and SLOs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale production environments using AWS and Terraform.
• Lead efforts to improve platform resilience through automated recovery strategies.
• Own the design and delivery of reusable platform components and self-service tools.
• Define and evolve observability standards across the platform.
• Own projects end to end from scoping to successful rollout.
• Mentor engineers and uphold high infrastructure quality.
• Engage in technical design discussions and adapt strategies based on team input.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape the reliability, scalability, and automation of production systems that support a modern technology platform. You will partner closely with engineering teams to strengthen infrastructure, improve recovery practices, and raise observability standards across the environment. The position blends hands-on cloud engineering with architectural ownership, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to support resilient service delivery.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,900 - $201,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale production environments using AWS and Terraform
• Lead efforts to improve platform resilience through automated recovery strategies
• Own the design and delivery of reusable platform components and self-service tools
• Define and evolve observability standards across the platform
