Overview

Join to apply for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer role at TEKsystems. This is a contract-to-hire position. Onsite 4 days a week and one day remote. Location: Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

• 4 Expert level Site Reliability (SRE) engineers to help improve budget errors and reduce downtime for hundreds of applications.
• Reduce MTTR and accelerate recovery through audit and remediation of Incident playbooks for various applications.
• Update/modify playbooks for all applications.
• Create End to End Architecture Diagrams, map critical user journeys in partnership with Delivery, to improve observability and telemetry.
• Get deeply involved in incident response for top applications, enhance detection logic, improve incident triage processes, focus on proactive root cause execution, improve data-driven accountability, refine playbooks, and coach teams on improvements.
• Drive key observability requirements in platform and application delivery; where involved, create NFRs to enable scalable, issue-resilient systems, and swift recovery.
• Build a proactive, engineering-driven team with enhanced observability, reliability, scalability, increased SLO/SLI adoption, automation, and improved tooling.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
