Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a Site Manager for the Greenville, SC location. You will oversee all operations, financials, customer and personnel activities across the Greenville site, leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and on-time delivery.

The role requires 15+ years in aerospace/defense, BS degree, and proven experience in program execution, operations, and business development, with LEAN/Six Sigma and AS9100 exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree is required.
• 15+ years in aerospace/defense engineering and manufacturing.
• Experience in space, missile, defense, or hypersonic environments.
• Experience in operations and business development.
• Experience managing a P&L.
• Ability to drive growth in diverse, large organizations.
• Leadership in matrixed organizations.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute site operational strategies to meet commitments and financial goals.
• Lead staffing with HR and ensure training on best practices.
• Implement systems to improve workflow and reduce bottlenecks.
• Maintain process controls for on-time delivery, defects, and margins using lean Six Sigma.
• Optimize facility utilization and track site KPIs.
• Oversee financial reporting and KPI management.
• Ensure site safety and compliance with policies.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers; support proposals and contracting.
• Lead sales and business development to win new programs and growth.
• Support equipment and facility expansion planning for growth.
