Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a Site Civil Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to work in one of our Southeast offices in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida. The PM will lead site civil land development projects and a team of engineers.

The role requires a PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months, strong communication skills, and demonstrated success managing medium to large projects across multiple offices. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering is required.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• 10+ years of experience with private and municipal clients in engineering or PM roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and control project activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects including scoping, task management, invoicing and closeout.
• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate phases of engineering work on multiple projects.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and design staff.
• Prepare reports, calculations, drawings, permitting packages and deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, regulators and the public.
• Lead design and delivery of site civil and facilities design.
• Perform stormwater modeling, design and analysis.
• Participate in RFIs, submittals, site observations and change orders.
• Develop new work opportunities through competitive pursuits and interviews.
