Job summary

GMC in Tampa, FL is seeking a Site Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our local office. The role focuses on leading site civil design, client relationships, and project delivery across commercial, institutional, municipal, and residential sectors.

The candidate will oversee grading, drainage, stormwater, and infrastructure from concept to closeout, with travel as needed. A PE or eligibility within 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or tenured professional in the civil engineering field with Bachelor's in a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of site civil engineering experience with a variety of projects.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Proficient in Civil 3D and other stormwater design software.
• Experienced in stormwater system design, hydraulic analysis, and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to make sound design decisions independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site civil efforts from concept to completion including layout, grading, drainage.
• Prepare stormwater designs and reports; perform hydraulic analyses and SWPPPs.
• Manage workflows to keep projects on schedule and on budget.
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and agency requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, project teams, contractors, and agencies.
• Coordinate permits and oversee as-built documentation through closeout.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of civil plans and reports.
• Travel as necessary for project execution and meetings.
• Uphold GMC standards and core values within teams.
• Support local professional societies and community initiatives.
