Job description

We're looking for a collaborative, people-focused Site Civil Engineer to join our Water Resources Practice, a diverse team handling various site and municipal projects around the Pacific Northwest.


Our ideal candidate is a natural leader passionate about site development with a compassionate, team-oriented mindset. They excel in strategic planning, delivering timely, thoughtful results through effective delegation and mentorship. Proactive communication and strong writing skills are essential for working with the team and clients.


About the Role

In this position, you'll work with a highly collaborative team of engineers, landscape architects, and civil technicians to:

  1. Lead Site Civil Design for facility improvement/development projects.
  2. Support project management and task management.
  3. Oversee/prepare construction documents including plans and specifications for site improvements.
  4. Perform project tasks and provide technical guidance.
  5. Support scope, schedule, and budget management, including proposal development and risk mitigation.
  6. Coordinate and review project deliverables for quality assurance.
  7. Mentor and train junior engineers.
  8. Collaborate with senior engineers to develop technical expertise and attend relevant training.
  9. Lead or assist with other Water Resources projects as needed.

About You

We're seeking someone with:

  • 8+ years of design and PS&E experience.
  • Bachelor's or master's in civil engineering or related field.
  • Washington State PE license.
  • Experience with civil/site design support, collaborating with architects and landscape architects.
  • Thorough knowledge of Washington State and local stormwater, wastewater, and surface water regulations.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, SWMM, MGSFlood, and WWHM.
  • Experience authoring drainage reports for various jurisdictions.
  • Ability to review work of others and perform QA/QC.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects across different locations.

The salary range for Seattle-based employees is $110,000–$145,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and location.
