Job summary

University of Georgia in Athens is seeking an Application Analyst III to join the EITS-Student Information Systems team. This on-site, full-time role leads design, development, and maintenance of the Banner Student system and related integrations, delivering innovative solutions for the digital student experience.

You'll work with senior developers, architect scalable applications using Java, SQL, APIs, and web technologies, mentor teammates, and coordinate projects across ITS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience
• Experience with SIS/ERP systems and related integrations is preferred
• Strong communication and leadership abilities are required

Responsibilities

• Participate on a team with other technical leads to provide research and discovery to deploy new solutions for student information systems.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture, management, and coordination for priority software development projects and system upgrades.
• Serve on a team as senior level software architect and provide application development support to web services and system integrations.
• Design, code, test, implement, and document complex programs for the ERP system using development tools and database structures.
• Develop solutions using APIs, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, CSS, JavaScript, HTML and related technologies.
• Application development against Oracle and other database structures as needed.
• Direct, supervise, and coordinate efforts of application analysts and programmers."
• Provide mentorship and support to developers and users, ensuring effective communication across SIS services.
• Coordinate personnel resources and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Maintain awareness of new technologies and provide training and knowledge transfer to staff
