Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) seeks a seasoned technical contributor to drive end-to-end delivery of PIC solutions, coordinating implementation across hardware teams for optical IO in next-generation AI and HPC applications.

The role interfaces with hardware engineering teams and AMD partners to plan, develop and optimize PIC solutions and photonic design activities. You will work on DFx, device design, layout, simulation, packaging, and test, contributing as a subject matter expert in

Qualifications

Requires advanced degree in applied physics/electrical engineering or related discipline.
Experience driving PIC design across DFx, packaging, and test.
Strong collaboration across multiple teams and geographies.

Responsibilities

Develop OE systems in advanced Si photonics for DWDM/CWDM in AI/HPC.
Define PIC architectures, TX/RX chains, components and tests for next-gen Optical IO.
Coordinate with systems teams to simulate and optimize Optical IO link budgets.
Contribute to design-for-test best practices for high-volume manufacturing.
Participate in design reviews as a subject matter expert in silicon photonics.
Collaborate with EIC, packaging, foundry tech, test development, and product teams to architect design and automation solutions.
