Job summary

Amphenol Corporation's Communications Solutions division in Nashua, NH seeks an experienced Senior Signal Integrity Engineer focused on Optical Transceivers & LPO modules. You will lead electrical design, simulation, validation, and optimization for 800G and beyond, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-speed interconnect solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in SerDes, DSPs, retimers, PE, and channel analysis, with hands-on qualification experience and a track record

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in high-speed signal integrity engineering.
• Strong understanding of high-speed serial interfaces and networking systems.
• Experience with 56G, 112G, and preferably 224G PAM4 technologies.
• Experience developing optical transceivers and LPO products.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop optical transceivers and LPO modules for high-speed interconnect systems (Ethernet, PCIe).
• Evaluate optical engine interfaces (TIA, laser driver, VCSEL, EML, photodiode).
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams.
• Analyze insertion loss, return loss, crosstalk, impedance, and channel compliance.
• Support compliance testing and customer qualification activities.
• Evaluate and optimize channels using DSPs, retimers, and high-speed SerDes devices.
• Analyze CTLE, DFE, FFE, adaptive equalization, FEC, and link margin.
• Knowledge of Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) is a plus.
• Familiarity with IEEE Ethernet and PCIe SIG standards and CMIS testing.
