Amphenol Corporation is seeking a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer to join the Valley Green, PA team, with remote work options. You will collaborate on high-speed backplane development, design and characterize connectors, assist customers, and support sales strategies using advanced SI methods.

The role requires a BS in EE or Physics, hands-on SI characterization, and experience with TDR/VNA and SI tools; MS/PhD and 2+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualificações

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Hands-on freq- and time-domain component and circuit characterization, incl. tests and calibration.
• Experience with SI measurements and debugging using TDR, VNA, pattern generators and error detectors.
• Understanding of electromagnetic principles.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary team to develop next-generation high-speed backplane interconnects.
• Design, simulate, characterize, and apply high-speed connectors and cable interconnects.
• Provide solutions to customers across sectors for high-speed data transmission.

• Identify and resolve SI issues in PCB layout and guide layout.
• Apply circuit theory and high-speed transmission/PCB layout principles.

Position: Senior Signal Integrity Engineer

Location: Valley Green, PA / Remote

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team located in Valley Green, PA. The SI Engineer would be part of an established team of dedicated signal integrity engineers and engineers of other disciplines who are responsible for both component development as well as customer support on new product introduction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborating on a multi-disciplinary team in the development of next generation high speed backplane interconnect products
• Design, simulation, characterization, and application of high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnect
• Assist with providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high-speed data transmission requirements
• Support the internal Sales Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise
• Identify and resolve signal Integrity issues in PCB layout, and directing layout
• Application of Circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCB layout principles for high-speed digital design

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics
• Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methods
• Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipment
• Understanding of electro-magnetic principles

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Experience in component design and application of high-speed interconnects into communications systems
• Experience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as ANSYS HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave Studio, HSPICE, MATLAB, and ADS
