We’re seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead the hands-on design and development of metal-based surgical implants and instruments. This is a high-impact role for a self-sufficient, technically strong engineer who thrives on owning projects end-to-end—from concept through testing and commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle development of metal implants and surgical instruments
• Perform hands-on CAD design (CREO/SolidWorks) with full ownership (no dedicated designers)
• Apply design for manufacturing (DFM) principles, especially for machined metal components
• Develop and execute design verification & validation, including ISO-based testing
• Build and evaluate prototypes with internal teams and external vendors
• Drive project timelines, documentation, and deliverables independently
• Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams
• Gather feedback from surgeons and support product launches as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of mechanical/product design experience
• Direct experience with metal implant design (spine, ortho, or similar strongly preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in CREO or SolidWorks
• Experience with testing, validation, and full product lifecycle ownership
