About the Job

Knife Drop Studios Production Team is looking to hire an experienced, creative, and resourceful Senior Shortform Video Editor (Vertical Content) for Nick’s social media channels. This role will handle vertical content for Nick’s YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok accounts.

Type of Position

This is a remote, full-time position for someone based in the United States, with the possibility of hybrid work for candidates located in the Boston area.

What You’ll Do

• Own post-production for Nick DiGiovanni’s short-form social content, typically 30-60 seconds
• Transform raw footage, concepts, and scripts into engaging, high-performing social videos
• Edit content in line with brand guidelines while bringing your own creative instincts to each project
• Build strong hooks, pacing, storytelling, and visual moments that keep viewers watching
• Apply strong editing techniques and post-production best practices to every project
• Stay up to date on social media trends, internet culture, and pop culture to inform creative decisions
• Collaborate with the broader creative and production team to take concepts from raw footage to final video

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• 3-5+ years of experience editing video content for social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or other relevant platforms
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop
• Deep understanding of the mechanics behind high-performing short-form content, including hooks, retention, storytelling, and pacing
• Passion for pop culture and a strong understanding of current social media trends, particularly across vertical platforms
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges, think critically, and find creative solutions
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and proactively bring new creative ideas to the table
• Experience with branded content is a plus, but not required
