Qualifications

• Five (5) years shipbuilding/repair experience or three (3) years in a similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organization and supervisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates related craft activities.
• Develops, reviews, and maintains construction plans, schedules, budgets and records.
• Reads and interprets construction drawings, specifications and technical guidance.
• Ensures materials and labor resources are available to complete tasks.
• Maintains work schedules and oversees overtime to minimize delays.
• Coordinates craft efforts with production management.
• Optimizes processes to ensure high-quality output per company standards.
• Trains and motivates workforce to achieve productivity goals.
• Addresses daily personnel, equipment and facility issues; devises solutions.
• Delegates work to maintain balanced workloads.
• Must work in confined spaces and at elevations above 5 feet; respirator use may be required.
