Qualifications

• Five years of experience supervising shipfitting tasks on naval or commercial ships.
• Two years as On-Site Supervisors with equivalent experience as the tradesperson they supervise.
• Ability to work onboard U.S. Navy ships and in heavy industrial environments.
• Welding prep and post-weld cleaning proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipfitter crews performing rip-out, repair, and installation of ship structures.
• Coordinate template, layout, fabricate bulkheads, equipment foundations, ladders and guards.
• Ensure corrosion-prevention plating install and tank access work.
• Supervise post-weld cleaning and fit-up for welding.
• Enforce safety and training requirements for respiratory protection.
