Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Wisconsin to drive innovative tech and processes across fabrication and paint. You will develop technology roadmaps, establish global equipment standards, justify capital expenditures, and partner with design engineering to improve DFM in sheet metal fabrication.

You will lead equipment implementation, drive OEE initiatives, optimize production across facilities, and foster outsourcing partnerships to achieve cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering for sheet metal fabrication, including turret punching, laser cutting, press brakes, and powder coating.
• Experience managing machine tool acquisitions from start-up to full production throughput.

Responsibilities

• Lead area layouts, process definition, design/selection, and implementation of equipment and tooling for capacity and improvement projects.
• Support DFM in New Product Introductions with sheet metal components.
• Contribute to facility transformation and technology transfer in sheet metal fabrication.
• Implement policies and process documentation to sustain improvements in fabrication.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence across production lines.
• Ensure streamlined product, material, and information flows for maximum efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
