Job summary

Trilogy Federal is seeking a remote Senior SharePoint/Power Apps Developer to support a knowledge management system for a large federal agency. You will design and implement Hub sites, subsites, pages, and libraries using SharePoint Online and Power Platform to streamline data, automate workflows, and improve user experiences across MS 365.

The role requires 8+ years of SharePoint development, strong UI/UX and security focus, and experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

Qualifications

Trilogy Federal is looking for a remote Senior SharePoint/Power Apps Developer to support a knowledge management system for a large federal agency. We need a highly motivated developer and a committed problem‑solver to support this program and join a collaborative and customer‑oriented team.

Although this role is remote, the client may require ad‑hoc travel to the DC Metro area 1–2 times a quarter.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions using out‑of‑the‑box, modern SharePoint, Power Platform, and integrated MS 365 functionality, including creating Hub sites, subsites, pages, lists, and libraries; manage data and metadata with custom content types, site columns, and document sets; configure web parts, page layouts, custom views, custom workflows, and dashboards.
• Implement and maintain site permissions structure, intuitive site navigation, term‑store management, and Document Management system.
• Leverage MS Power Platform tools, such as PowerApps and Power Automate, to automate and streamline workflows, approval processes, etc.
• Design, develop and maintain SharePoint themes, templates, master pages, and page layouts to customize and brand the SharePoint look and feel using UI/UX practices.
• Work with the SharePoint development team to design a front end that functions across various devices, browsers, and platforms, while meeting Section‑508 accessibility and federal security requirements.
• Adhere to established methodologies while analyzing processes for improved performance and adaptability.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 8 years' experience in SharePoint development (including creating custom forms, workflows, and web parts)
• Minimum 8 years' experience in the Software Development Life Cycle Process (may include SDLC, Agile, SCRUM, Lean)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a wide variety of audiences
• Consultative, proactive mindset and demonstrated work experience providing solutions for clients and proactively collaborating with stakeholders.
• UI/UX experience with SharePoint Online, including creating custom forms, tools, or reports with Power Apps, and designing workflows with Power Automate.
• Experience designing workflows through SharePoint Designer and creating custom forms, or reports
• Experience collecting design requirements to conceptualize visuals.
• Experience with MS Power Platform applications, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, etc.
• Experience designing and developing complex Power Apps solutions.
• Experience capturing and analyzing site usage data for metrics reporting.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks/requests.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• VA experience preferred
• Software development Unit Testing, System Testing, Functional Testing, User Acceptance Testing, or other development testing experience is preferred.
• Experience using BCS to connect external data sources such as Access and Excel, with working knowledge of SQL queries and stored procedures to analyze data from multiple sources, including an understanding of ETL techniques and processes.
• Strong development skills, including creating or editing custom solutions.
• JavaScript code, with additional experience in JQuery, AJAX, JSON, REST API, SOAP, ASPX, CAML, XML, XSLT, CSS, HTML, and Bootstrap.
